The SF-DTWX24 Mini Dome Wide Slave Flash from Impact is a highly portable, cordless slave flash that is easily hidden on location and is a good choice for use as a fill or accent light, to open up shadows in interiors or tilted at 45 degrees to light a wall or separate a subject from a background. A 1/4""""-20 threaded socket allows you to mount it on a stand or other threaded accessory. The SF-DTWX24 has a 120 degree dome for wide light dispersal and a 5,600K color temperature that can be changed by simply taping gel filters to it. Weighing in at only 3.0 oz, the SF-DTWX24 gets 200 flashes from a set of 2 AA batteries and will recycle in 4.0-6.0 seconds, depending on the freshness of the batteries.
The SF-DTWX24 has a built-in slave with a range of 33' (10 m). It also features a test button and sync outlet so that it can be triggered directly from a camera.

11/22/2013Rating: These work perfectly at an economical price. Also love that Impact added the sub-mini sync chord port! It's small enough to easily place inside a lamp with a wide enough spread to mimic the light from lamp's standard bulb. The only snag I've encountered using them for this purpose is that at f8, ISO400 they are a bit more powerful than I need but that was an easy fix- I just wrapped some ND gels around them to get rid of color correcting incandescent lamp light.
