Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Sony Alpha NEX-C3

I have used the films with the fluid and squeegee before and I gotta say this is easier and better. The glass on the LCD installs easily and stayed clear and bubble-less. I did make sure to wipe it down as others have suggested to do before installing it so I had no problems with clarity. I clean it every now and again and it is real easy to clean. I would of course never be able to keep the actual screen so crystal clear but this protector can be scrubbed if necessary. Wonderful item!

Protects my screen.

I have been having a great experience. The glass is thin and clear so I didn't feel my sony nex-7 was any worse off. It also installed pretty easily even though I had a chipped protector that needed to be removed first. I just heated it up with a hair dryer for about two minutes and removed the old one. I then let it cool for a bit and the new one was easy to install. A very good investment in my opinion.

I have a few film protectors and I have to say after some consideration the films are probably better. I like glass because they can protect the lcd better and they are a bit easier to install. Ie. No fluid and no squeegee. However, the added girth of the lcd does not seem to be justified. Plus when I put mine on I couldn't help but feel I was losing some pixels on the side. This glass might be a bit small for the nex-6. All things taken into account this one looks better and is also maybe stronger than a flim protector but if you don't want a piece of glass added to your camera don't get this item.

A good product but not right for everyone.

I've found that soft films tend to bubble so instead I decided to go with this vello glass protector for my nex 6. If you follow the instructions you shouldn’t have any trouble installing. The first time I put it on, it was slightly off center so I used a hair dryer to heat the LCD for about three minutes and I was able to take it off. A quick wipe took away any lingering adhesives and I put it on again this time-Perfect! The glass is clear and these screens can scratch easily without protection so I would recommend it.

Films bubble when put on and are not as strong as this. Vello actually made a very thin piece of glass that is very clear and very protective. When I put it on, I have a a nex-6, I first made sure my screen was clear. It is terrible if you have some residue stuck under the glass and it will just annoy you and eventually make you take it off, clean it, and then put it back on. The fit is also perfect with my nex-7. Vello did a good job with this product

I use this because my nex-7 is always getting used and even banged around. Before I put it on I made sure to wipe it down because some dirt between the protector and the camera can be very annoying. If you mess up once you put it on you have to heat it with a hair dryer to get it off and it can get real messy real fast. Once my screen was totally clean I carefully placed it on and it fit perfectly. I have yet to see a scratch even on the protector so I am very pleased.

Easy to install when the screen is on. Just turn on the screen so the edges are clearly visible and follow the instructions on the package. This is a great investment. I highly recommend the vello screen protector to anyone with a nex-7 or nex6.

Whoever said there is no good left in this world???

We installed this about one week ago and just yesterday I dropped my nex-6 from the second step of my step ladder. It landed right on top of a tile floor and right on the screen. I turned it over expecting the worst but voila it was fine. I am sure this screen protector is what saved my camera and I am glad I purchased it.
